Kamma Activities for 2020
1.0 Humanitarian and livelihood
1.1 Food
Objective: Improve access to food security via (CTP), cash distribution to vulnerable households affected by conflict, the actual target reached was 8,629 HH, the details can be shown as follows:
2.0 MARKET SUPPORT
Objective: To avail goods in local market at reasonable affordable price
Construction of market shelter: - Construction of market shelter in Tunguli market for the selling of vegetable, the capacity of the shelter is 24 sellers mainly women who sale vegetable; the objective of the shelter is to encourage women to be involved in business, keep the vegetable in healthy and hygienic environments, moreover; to encourage more production of vegetables by the group and progressive farmers.
3.0 ESTABLISHMENT OF LIVELIHOOD
Objective: To improve the living standard of war affected communities and enabling them to become self-reliance.

3.1. Poultry keeping: -
Purpose: To provide vulnerable women with sufficient information and knowledge to allow them to farm poultry.
​
Objectives: To learn about all aspects of raising poultry for their meat and eggs. Then to develop a business plan which will show them if they can make money out of a poultry farming enterprise operation in their area under the present conditions.
​
Course: Trainer guided the participants through all aspects of producing poultry. Through visual demonstrations and diagrams, photographs and illustrations.

KODI distributed chickens 2 and 1 cock for each HHs. The total number of beneficiaries are 56 widows in Kwarindar Payam

3.2 Formation and training of beekeeping groups: -
Training of beekeeping groups was on June where 21 members have attended the training.

4.0 SEEDS DISTRIBUTION
Objective: Improve food security through the provision of agricultural inputs to vulnerable households affected by conflict. KODI works with local community by encouraging them to work together, to keep the culture of communal work which already exists in their communities alive. Nine types of seeds were distributed to 2400 HH in three counties.
5.0 NFIs
Shelter and settlement
Objective: To Provide access to safe, habitable and appropriate living spaces and non-food items to conflict and disaster affected households in need. This year we only get 245 kits for HH which was not enough for affected people by fire and flooding.

6.0 MRE
The MRE is newly established sector with the aim of raising awareness/ educating of the local communities about the risks of UXO and other war reminisce which are highly spread across the area.

6.1 Training of protection groups on Mine Risk Education (ME):
​
The training was contacted on date 12th-16th/Nov/2020. on the first day 11 participants attended the training the remaining days 26 participants attended the training. The participants were members from protection groups. After training participants when and make training to larger groups in their communities.
7.0 ADULT EDUCATION
Micro grant for Adult Education Centres: -
Adult education in this context means any activities provided to the adults that can help to promote the daily life and resilience most activities of adults are done on voluntarily basis by the community sometimes with minimal support, KODI facilitates these activities to support the community to find space where they can come together and discuss issues of their concern and that can promote their lives. By training of facilitators in RFLECT methodology, some of the activities implemented by adult groups are:

8.0 PROTECTION
The main objective was: To strengthen local capacity of women and youth groups in SK/Nuba Mountains for community protection, and awareness for peaceful coexistence. It started to train communities on self-protection in the following areas:

Danger of injury or death from armed conflict (i.e., safety issues),

Life-threatening risks from lack of food, income, basic services and shelter (i.e., physiological issues)
-
Fear, despair, unhappiness, erosion of dignity, core values (i.e., core psycho-social needs)
when times goes on it evolved to more activities which include peace in mind psychosocial/trauma healing, basic human right that include women and child right micro-grants, etc., there more than 50 groups. This year KODI support 33 protection groups with micro-grant

10.0 PEACE BUILDING

In an effort to safeguard and develop Koalib language and unify the existing conflicting alphabets of Koalib language. KODI have formed language committee consist of 21 members.
12.0 OTHER ACTIVITIES

The committee have reviewed and unified koalib Alphabets (the alphabets will be shared with, all the key leaders of the communities to give their comments on it or amend it),
