Livelihood (agriculture and Animal health)

Animals are important livelihood in the area KODI give special care for making community realize that by encourage them to :-

​

  1. Vaccination

  2. Training CAHW

  3. Follow up the awareness raising

Culture of communal work

Kamma works with local community by encouraging them to work together, to keep the culture of communal work which is already existing in their communities alive .

Provide training to farm groups and encourage them to keep seeds for the next season

Adult education

Kamma provides Adult education the following areas:

​

  1. Adult literacy in language chosen by the group

  2. REFLECT methodology.

  3. VSLA.

  4. Micro-grants

  5. Record keeping

  6. Conflict management within groups

Community Protection 

Kamma aims to, strengthen local capacity of women and youth groups in SK for community protection and being resilience by providing the following training:

  • Physical safety from bombing and land attacks,

  • Prepositioning food and property in safe places,

  • House hold budgeting and rationing of existing  Food supplies 

  • Recognition and preparation of safe wild foods and natural medicines

  • First Aid

  • Sanitation and personal hygiene, as preventative health care

  • Human rights and violence against women,

  • Dealing with mental trauma and psycho social issues

  • Story telling

  • Group solidarity and supporting their dignity, by being resilience.

Peace Education

The objective is : To look for positive ways of providing information and learning experience and skills to equip and empower the community by involving them as active participants in all stages of work taking place in their community, and awareness for peaceful coexistence.

Activities in 2017 Includes facilitate communities to have space to discuss their concern these includes:

  1.  Religious leaders

  2.  Singers and Hakamat

  3.  Traders

  4.  Farmers and pastoralist

  5.  Women and youth

  6.  Police for access to justice
