There has been an ongoing debate on the state of the boy-child in Kenya. Much debate has been about the gap between the boy-child and the girl child empowerment.

There has been a cold shiver that families are dying out and that the girl child who appears to be the most empowered is now bearing the blunt side of the sword by considering the burden of taking care of the household, while men  continue to be battered and butchered by life challenges.

Gender roles have been substituted with role diffusion / confusion and the principal of "what a man can do a woman can do better" has become the headline in both print and social media as well as our own national TV stations.

This imbalance has started being experienced with the rise of many girls being murdered and mutilated by their counterparts the male gender, and new the "hunter has become the hunted." This rise must stop.

It is for this reason that Kenya Institute of Business and Counseling Studies (the former Maranantha College) has embarked on training mentors on how to raise the boy-child through Parenting and mentoring as well as Model them to become the kind of men that the society expects them to be Kenya Institute of Business and Counseling Studies (KIBCO) has a variety of Counseling Services and courses that are tailored towards addressing these challenges in a very professional way.
